Having a presence on social media, is very crucial for businesses. People will forget you, or assume you don't exist if you don't show up on their feed.
Yes, you can automate or schedule your post updates with tools like Publer, but that's still not enough. If you don't know how you're doing in terms of reach, engagement and clicks, you may be wasting your time and money.
Introducing Publer Analytics:
Team statistics
The landing page of Analytics will give you a general idea of your team in terms of social accounts, members and posts.
If you scroll down, you will see how many posts have been published, scheduled, failed or saved as drafts for the selected range.
Account analytics
This is where it gets interesting. If you select any of the accounts on the right (or on the top if you're on mobile), you will see detailed insights for that account.
Depending on the type of the selected social account, you will see how the number of followers, reach (where possible) and engagement has been for the selected range (defaulted to the past 7 days).
These simple, yet powerful charts should give you an idea of how the selected social account has performed over time.
Post insights
If you scroll to the bottom, you will be able to see insights for every post published via Publer for the selected account. If you see that a post is performing better than the other posts, you can easily share that post in order to further increase its metrics.
Likes, shares & comments have been grouped together, but if you want to see the exact number for each action, simply hover over the progress bars as shown above for video views.
Top performing posts
And the 💠on top: we will email you the top 3 performing posts of the day or of the week for each social account you've added to Publer.
Not only you will have the top performing posts at your mailbox, but also who created those posts. Time to reward anyone maybe?
If opted in, members of your team will also get these emails, for the social accounts they have been assigned to of course.
To change the frequency of these emails, or to completely turn them off, simply go to Settings -> Notifications.
What metrics does Publer collect, where from and when?
We use the social networks official APIs to collect the metrics. We automatically pull the data once a day, every day, so you may not see insights for your most recent posts right away.
Also, we only analyze posts published via Publer, so if you post something natively or using another tool, you won't see that post or its insights within Publer.
The data each social network provides may be different, not only among them, but also among the social account types. For example, Facebook gives us insights on the reach only for Pages and not for Groups. Take a look at the table below for all metrics we (can) collect:
Reach | Likes |
Comments | Shares | Link Clicks | Post Clicks | Video Views | |
Facebook Page / Location |

Besides post insights, we also store the number of your Page likes, Group members and LinkedIn / Twitter followers. This way, you can visualize whether your circle is growing 😄 or decreasing 🤢 as shown at the beginning of this blog post.
Insights for LinkedIn profiles are for the moment not available. We're waiting for LinkedIn to upgrade the API version we have access to.
On the other hand, metrics for Twitter are very limited as they don't provide them for free, so before we start paying, we want to see how many of you need that.
Any suggestions?
