Your social media posts have been missing an essential element: Location Tagging.

A great online marketing strategy consists of Geolocating your content in order for your brand to get easily scouted. By tagging your current (or any) location, you get a useful exposure to increase the engagement like most brands do.

Here's a list of the main benefits your brand gets while sharing the location:

  • Get found by other Social Network users, especially on Instagram, which share the same experience (eat the same dish; try the same service; find the same handyman for quick solutions; etc.)

  • Boosts the sales by showcasing all your works.

  • Raise your brand awareness and help get real-time feedback.

Location tagging now available for Facebook & Twitter

Let’s see how it works

Location tagging is just another icon below the composer on Publer's simple dashboard. Only a few clicks and you can schedule or publish immediately to your brand’s social networks while tagging the desired location.

Curate your post with the proper images or a video, a caption and then click on the Location icon. Start typing for a location and select an option from the search results.

You will be able to select a location for each Facebook and Twitter account that you have selected.

Reminder: Location tagging is not possible for LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google My Business.

How location tags will look on Facebook

On Facebook, clicking the location tag will take you to the associated Facebook Page. This is very useful for businesses that have a physical location as it brings more traffic to their Facebook Page.

How location tags will look on Twitter

Twitter doesn't give locations the same exposure as Instagram and Facebook. In order to see the location tag, you will have to click on and expand the Tweet first. The cool thing is that just like Instagram, clicking on the location tag will show you all the Tweets that have been Tweeted from that location.

Just because you're stuck at home doesn't mean that your posts have to be locationless.

Location tagging is now available on every plan. Try it now!
